How does it work?

Method 1: send your text by email and I will return a quote of how much it will cost and how long it will take. If you’re happy to proceed, payment is made and I commence the work. The edited copy is then sent back to you.  Payment is by online banking or PayPal.

Method 2: organise an online session to go through the document together. This is great if you have lots of questions or need someone there to help clarify ideas.

If you are submitting an IELTS text, I will also supply examiner style marking and tell you what you need to do to achieve your target band.

How do I submit my text?

Please submit your work using a Word format (*.docx, *.doc) so that I can send you the corrections electronically. However, I also correct scanned copies of your text if you do not have access to a word processor.

How much does it cost?

Online editing lessons are $80 per hour.

Documents submitted by email for proofreading are calculated on an individual basis. Send your text first and I will return a quote.

The completion times and fees are confirmed before starting the work. Typically, most documents are returned within 12 to 72 hours. There is an option to have them returned within 2-3 hours.

Lateness and Cancellations

If you are late, you cannot get extra time or a refund. I have the right to cancel a lesson if you are more than 10 minutes late. You are responsible for starting on time. If I am late, then we will finish until you get your full time  or we can rearrange a longer lesson next time. Please understand I may have other students waiting after you so it is not always possible to extend the lesson.

If you cancel a lesson, you must let me know at least 24 hours before the lesson. Otherwise I will charge you for that lesson or cancel all lessons with you. If I have to cancel a lesson and you have not paid, I do not have to give you any prior notice. However, I will notify you if I have to cancel on the day. If you have paid, then I will give your next lesson for free or you can request a refund.

For emergencies, you must call me and never use text or email to inform me. You must give at least 1 hour notice by a phone call ONLY for emergency situations and explain why you have to cancel.
